Although Edison had over a thousand patents, there is one invention of his that we would be lost without today. The light bulb offers steady and bright light without much worry or danger of a fire that a candle would give. Thomas Edison invented with revolutionary invention in 1879. I feel as though our of all of Edison's amazing inventions, this one affected people the most, they could see after the sun set without having to worry about it starting a fire. We still use this invention today and we have modernized it. Today there are light bulbs in electronic picture frames, in televisions, in computers, everywhere.
